Dear Linda, It is with great pleasure that I write to you after recently completing your telecourse on "Interview Coaching." To be frank¾with close to two decades of experience in talent management, staffing and human resources in Corporate America¾I didn't believe there was much more I could learn about interview techniques or approaches. I was pleasantly humbled by my experience in taking your course and must admit I was wrong! Your course¾albeit only an hour each week¾provided me with a new perspective on interviewing. One that specifically focused on an area of job searches that is typically feared the most by clients. One that provided a framework that would enable a coach to provide deeper benefits and value to any job seeker. One that provided solid techniques and learning for a wide range of students - from the experienced professional to the novice coach or interviewer. Your weekly handouts were thorough, well structured, easy to understand and flowed seamlessly from the beginning to end of the interviewing process. They were current and covered all bases and types of interviews a job seeker or client could encounter. I have no doubt that whatever new interview formats are created in the future, you're certainly going to be at the forefront of that curve! Your teaching style and personality was a definite highlight for me. I found myself enjoying the content¾as well as the role plays (likely the toughest part of a certification course for most students). The homework was well thought out and reinforced the week's learning concepts. (Of noteworthy mention would be the homework around decision-making!). I would highly recommend your course to any professional or beginning student seeking interviewing skills and/or coaching techniques for this specialized¾but difficult¾area of job search and transition.
